2016 ASEM Eco-Innovation Consulting Seminars
To Raise Awareness on Eco-Innovation and Enhance Green Competitiveness of SMEs in Thailand

8 June, 2016 – ASEM SMEs Eco-Innovation Centre (Chairman, Kyu-Dae Lee) held ASEM Eco-Innovation Consulting Seminars on 8th, June in Thailand
in order to promote green management and technology cooperation in ASEM developing countries. At this seminar, ASEIC introduced the ASEM SMEs Eco-Innovation Consulting Programs and ASEIC’s role to Thailand’s small and medium-sized enterprises that hopes to participate in the program.

Under the ASEM SMEs Eco-Innovation Consulting Program, ASEIC will dispatch professional consultants and provide one-on-one consultation on how to raise operational efficiency and minimize negative environmental effect. The ASEIC Consulting team will conduct on-site assessment, focusing on the areas of production process, system and management. This will help participants to realize feasible ways for green growth considering the nature and needs of their own businesses.

Through this project, ASEIC hopes to help Thai SMEs to raise awareness on eco-innovation and leapfrog a polluting growth path in cooperation with National Science and Technology Development Agency of Thailand. ASEIC is an inter-governmental body that promotes green growth primarily for small and medium-sized enterprises in the ASEM region. Since its launch in 2011, ASEIC has provided customized diagnosis for SMEs on how to adopt eco-innovative strategies.
