2018 Korea-Denmark Eco-innovation Investor Summit

 ? From October 22nd to the 23rd, the ASEM SMEs Eco-Innovation Center (ASEIC), Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development (KISED), Innobiz, Chungnam Creative Economy Innovation Center (CCEI), and Denmark’s Green Tech Center (GTC) co-hosted the ‘2018 Korea-Denmark Eco-innovation Summit’ in the Vejle Green Tech Center.

- The event consisted of ▲Korean startup business presentations and networking for Denmark investors, ▲a technical exchange meeting between SMEs of both countries, ▲Korea-Denmark researcher technology seminar, and ▲ the visitation of the Vejle industrial complex.

? 100 total guests including representatives from 20 Korean startups in the environmental sector - including Korean smart city, energy storage, smart production circular economy -, representatives from 4 SMEs, two universities pursuing industry-university R&D subjects, Danish investors, and industry researchers attended the event.

? The event was the follow-up of the Korea-Denmark Presidential Summit and was pursued as a part of expansion measures for circular economy, the 4th industrial revolution, and the private sector cooperation of both countries.

? The secretary general of ASEIC, Sejong Kim, stated that this event provided an opportunity for Korean SMEs to use the network, investment, and research support environment of GTC and Velje - which specializes in supporting SMES through green technology - and emphasized the necessity co continuous exchange
